On October 30, 2019, over 400 committed and diverse leaders came together for a powerful day of learning, connection, and transformation at our 2019 National Community Leadership Summit, titled Belong. Engage. Learn. Transform. Wisdom and expertise from over twenty states, multiple cultures, and traditions were harnessed to build our own capacities and engagement strategies to ensure all children and families have equitable access to the tools and resources needed to thrive.
2020 Highlights
● The quality of presentations was excellent. People who authentically understand and embody the fullness of the work to ensure children's wellbeing. Conferences often attract people who are perhaps researching or leading programs or are adjacent to the work, but not actually DOING the work, which makes their presentations perhaps interesting but less applicable. ● The content and interdisciplinary framing. I loved the ability to connect with people outside of my discipline.
● This was one of the best conferences I have attended in my 30 years of clinical practice.
● It is refreshing and inspiring to hear of the work being done around the country. Thank you so much!
● Thank you to the organizers-wonderful, thought provoking and inspirational two days! I learned new things about health equity and am also inspired to think more deeply about civic engagement in my own community.
